Looking to boost your CV? Enjoy working and meeting new people? Looking to change direction? In celebration of Volunteers’ Week 1st – 7th June, BAVO will be at various locations in Bridgend giving volunteering information.
Volunteers’ week is an annual celebration to recruit, reward and recognise volunteers. Accompanied by local community groups and voluntary organisations from Bridgend, find out how volunteering can benefit you.
Here are some locations that BAVO will be giving out information about volunteering:
John Street Bandstand in Porthcawl on Friday 1 June from 10am – 3pm
Bridgend Bus Station Wednesday 6 and Thursday 7 June from 9am – 1pm
Princess of Wales Hospital on Friday 8 June from 11am – 3pm
If you can’t make these dates you can also drop into BAVO’s Bridgend Volunteer Centre at 2 Queen Street, Bridgend Town Centre. BAVO will be raising awareness of different opportunities such as retail, youth work, peer support, health groups through to Board Directors.
Whatever your personal motivation, whatever your interests, come along to one of BAVO’s volunteering information days and see if there is a volunteer opportunity for you. There is no obligation to sign up to anything, just lots of information on options for people to take away and think about.
Volunteering is rewarding and can make a big difference to you and your community. If you are interested in volunteering, BAVO can match your skills with an opportunity that best suits you.
